1993... Segaris Sinar is a bittersweet drama that tracks the lives of eight bosom friends who grew up together in a student hostel.
Ranging from the ages of 14 to 16 when they first met, the series examines how the hostel conditioned their upbringing and shaped their individual perspectives that subsequently affect their respective decisions and choices during adulthood.
Their resourcefulness, or lack of it, either makes them stronger emotionally or instinctively weaker when challenged by adversaries.
Just like the asterism Ursa Major, they gain strength from one another and seek inspiration from the glimmer of hope that their fragmented lives can offer.
Raised in a less privileged environment without the conventional father and mother nor even brother and sister as immediate relatives, these eight friends seek one another for emotional support. The series explores the eternal love and camaraderie that binds these 'brothers' together as ‘family’.
